Our wedding cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined. And it was delicious too! Vicki created a margarita flavor cake just for our cinco de mayo wedding.

We LOVED the wedding cake that Vicki created for us. It was perfect! Vicki captured a dream of a cake! She is such an artist and is able to combine love and talent into a wonderful wedding cake! The reviews were great at the wedding! Everyone loved the cake! It fit perfectly into the day! The mother of the groom said it was the best wedding cake she had ever tasted! My Mom said as soon as she saw it she knew I was going love it. It absolutely took her breath away. Thank you again Vicki so much for making our day wonderful! If Vicki makes your cake you don't have to worry about it......it is going to be great!

Our wedding cake was made by Vicki Nelson (Signature Cakes by Vicki). Our theme was art deco, so we wanted to have the cake match the theme. When I saw the cake, it was SO AMAZING. It was exactly what we had wanted. Along with allowing us to select three different flavors for the tiers, she took inspiration from the photos I had sent her of my art deco jewelry and tied that in to the design. There were lots of sugar tulips and calla lilies on top of the cake that looked so real. I was able to take those after the wedding and give them to friends and family. The first thing my mother asked me after I returned from the honeymoon was "Who made that cake? It was exquisite!!". Everyone commented on how they loved the way that the cake looked AND tasted! Vicki is professional and also friendly and kind. She delivered the cake exactly on time. If I had to do the wedding over again, I would definitely include Vicki Nelson!!

Vicki is incredible! All of my guests raved over the taste and detail of both of my cakes. She went above and beyond all expectations! She not only is a cake magician she is a true professional and a pleasure to work with!

Signature Cakes by Vicki, Wow, where do I begin? In planning my husband’s 60th birthday celebration, I wanted the best of everything, at least that I could afford. I first contacted Vicki by phone and described to her what I envisioned for cakes for the celebration as I wanted cakes that represented two facets of my husband’s life, (i.e., a life-like golf course with a replica of the clubhouse at one of the local courses where he plays regularly and the Bible to represent his ministry). Vicki immediately offered great suggestions and told me of how she would accomplish what I was describing. She offered a free consultation and tasting, which I was ecstatic over because, while others offered free consultations, they did not offer tastings. Some even said that they only did tastings for wedding cakes. That made it apparent to me that every cake, regardless of the occasion, was as important to Vicki as it was to the individual. That simple business practice also implied to me that she would not only create a masterpiece, but that she also wanted to ensure that I would be satisfied with the cakes in their entirety and not just the appearance. Here’s where the real fun began. A girlfriend accompanied me to the consultation and tasting. Once there, Vicki presented us with a wonderful assortment of approximately 13 to 16 different flavors of cake. All of which, I kid you not, were knock-your-socks-off wonderful! Each sample was incredibly moist and light, uniquely flavorful, and just melted in our mouths, which made it extremely difficult to decide on a flavor. Therefore, I picked three. The golf course cake consisted of almond, orange dreamsicle, and strawberry flavors and the Bible cake was an almond flavor. After deciding on flavors, we discussed designs to ensure we were on the same page. Vicki began drawing the cakes on an easel and drew to scale what I had envisioned. I was totally blown away by her drawing. During the consultation, we laughed and had great fun with Vicki. Vicki was patient through my indecisiveness in choosing flavors. She never rushed or pressured me in any way. After the consultation, I was confident that the final results would be phenomenal and I knew first hand of the wonderful taste and texture that my guest would have the privilege of experiencing. On the day of the celebration, Vicki and her wonderful husband delivered the masterpieces. They were magnificent. The cakes were more fascinating than I had ever imaged. I didn’t want to cut them. Everyone was in awe! No one could believe they were real cakes. The staff at the venue where the celebration was held were also amazed and even took pictures. My guests took pictures. One out-of-town guest who was present when Vicki delivered the cakes asked if she’d come to his home state. That’s how incredible the cakes were. Then, it’s cake time. The cakes tasted even more delectable than I remembered during the tasting. It’s only been two weeks since the celebration and my guests are still raving over Vicki’s cakes. I can’t impress upon anyone enough, how wonderful Signature Cakes by Vicki is. You just have to experience it for yourself and once you do, you too will have to confess that Signature Cakes by Vicki is the BEST!!!! Best in Taste, Texture, Artistry Design and Cost. What a great experience it was to work with Signature Cakes by Vicki! Her ability to bring an idea to life is a true gift. Our cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted as great as it looked. She did not sacrifice taste for appearance at all. We attended several cake tastings prior to meeting Vicki and were blown away by the difference in how her cake tasted. It was by far the best cake I've ever had. You could taste how fresh everything was and it was noticable that nothing was preprepared. As for aesthetics, we came in without a lot of focus and she narrowed in immediately on what we wanted; she really lends her imagination to each individual client. Wedding planning can be very stressful, but her enthusiasm and creative flair made this process so much more enjoyable. She really has a passion for what she does and it shows in her work. On a more professional note, Vicki was a pleasure to work with. She was flexible given our busy schedules, approachable and very responsive to our every inquiry. Her prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of bang for your buck. We are so impressed and would HIGHLY recommend Signature Cakes by Vicki to anyone having an event. You will be flooded with rave reviews long after it is over. I wish I could host more events just to use her services! We have never seen a cake as quickly devoured as our wedding cake! It tasted amazing, looked beautiful, and was worth every penny we paid. The cake was affordable, tasty, and so pretty that I had guests talking about it throughout the day, evening, and on. It's still a hot topic, months later!

Vicki's cakes are the best ever. We are still getting compliments on our cake selection and people asking who made our cake. Our cake was so beautiful thanks to her creativity and delicious. I would use Vicki again for any of my cake needs and thinking about using her for our anniversary party.

There are 3 reasons, all very important that made Signature Cakes by Vicki so wonderful. Vicki took lots of time to sketch the design. Late in the process she allowed the bride to change some things and make it her own. The most important element was all three kinds of cake in the tiers were moist, dense and delicious. No matter how beautiful the cake should taste delicious and it did. Vicki understood how emotional the whole process is for a wedding cake. Highly recommend Vicki. We weren't even planning on getting a cake - we wanted something a little less traditional. And then we tasted Vicki's cake at a bridal show, and we were won over. After that we made a formal appointment with Vicki for a "real" tasting, and made a few other appointments with other cake vendors - and Vicki blew them out of the water. She had the most flavor options, all of which were wonderfully moist and left you wanting more. The cake was delicious, beautiful, and we got tons of compliments on it. Originally, we had decided to not save the top layer, so we'd have more for the guests. But, it accidentally got saved anyway. It was a wonderful surprise when we got back from the honeymoon to find it in the freezer. And we decided to still not save it - so, we ate it for the next week!

Absolutely beautiful and equally delicious! She did exactly what we discussed! I made a change to the sugar flowers a week before the wedding and told her to not worry about it. She ended up making the change anyway when she didn't have to. Recommend to people who want the look and taste for the right price!

Where do i start? Vicki creates MASTERPIECES beyond anything you can imagine! Not only were our cakes beautiful, but they were so delicious and moist! Our guests ate all of the groom's cake within minutes and they attempted to eat all of mine but it was too huge! Vicki listens to every word to make your vision come to life! We couldn't have been more pleased! Way to go!

We found Vicky at a bridal show where one of her sample cakes just swept me off my feet! We got married at Belmont Mansion and our theme was Old South and Victorian. She worked with us on every aspect of this cake, mixed the perfect color, helped us decide on flavors and just made it perfect! My mom fell and broke her leg the day we were supposed to have the tasting so she couldn't come with us. When we got there, Vicky had samples of everything she makes (they are all incredible) and she even packed a sample of everything for my mom so she could try it even though she couldn't be there. Vicky was great to work with, shared our vision and really made the cake a focal point at the reception. I am still getting complements on the taste and the beauty. You have found your perfect cake decorator! Look no further!

I cannot adequately express how wonderful it was working with Vicki!! She was extremely professional, friendly and fast. Everything from our consultation to our wedding day was so easy and all of our questions were answered right away. The best part was seeing our cake on the day of our wedding. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted! Not only was our cake beautiful, but it also tasted delicious!! Vicki was absolutely wonderful and we hope to use her again in the future! Vicki gave me more than I ever could have imagined with my wedding cake. It was absolutely gorgeous and tasted fantastic. She had no problem working within my budget and I wound up getting a great value for the price. I enjoyed the whole process with Vicki, from our first appointment through the wedding. She has a great variety of flavors and her fondant is great. She also sketches out the design of the cake during the 1st appointment, which was a really fun experience. I had so many compliments from my guests and I would recommend Vicki to anyone!

Having our cake done with Vicki was one thing we did over budget on our wedding, but it was TOTALLY worth it. Before the wedding, when people asked how much we spent on the cake and I told them, they were shocked. But at the wedding, those people said they understood why it was expensive! I had a picture from a magazine of a very detailed cake I wanted. At our meeting, she did a sketch of it and took a copy of my photo. I was still nervous that it wouldn't actually look like the picture. On the day of my wedding I couldn't believe how amazing it was. I had so many compliments that it was the most beautiful wedding cake anyone had seen. It looked EXACTLY like the photo!!! I wish I could post pictures on here of the magazine photo and the cake so you could appreciate how good she is. And the TASTE! At our meeting, neither of us had never tasted such amazing cake flavors. My fiance doesn't even like sweets and he loved the samples. We decided on each layer having a layer of strawberry and a layer of banana making it a strawberry banana cake! And to top it off, her buttercream frosting is amazing, and the fondant didn't taste near as bad as others I've had. It was delivered on time and she sent me photos of it after the wedding which I appreciated, even though we did have a photographer. We can't wait till our first anniversary to eat more of our cake!
