A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! Riverwood Mansion is the PERFECT venue for both small and large weddings. It was the best decision I made to have my wedding there and I will recommend them to everyone! Its the PERFECT southern belle/elegant wedding venue in Nashville.

If you are looking to get married in Tennessee, Riverwood is the place to do it! Everything about this place is magical! I've been to weddings where the parents of the the bride and groom have to do the majority of the clean up and can't focus on the wedding, not here! Our parents hot to enjoy themselves just as much as we did.

Riverwood is a treasure and the perfect spot for a Southern bride to marry and have her reception. The grounds are gorgeous, and the mansion is beyond beautiful. The staff is top notch - kudos to Katie for making my life as easy as possible. The vendors that work with them are excellent, especially the caterer and Baker: A Catered Affair and The Bake Shoppe. The DJ they recommend is also first rate. Riverwood is a little pricey and when you are planning review all of their rules, inclusions, exclusions very carefully. However, the value for the cost is very good. Adding extra time to the reception is almost a necessity since they include setup and tear down as part of the time allocated to you for your reception. On the upside, you may provide your own liquor which is a huge money saver. The only downside to Riverwood is that they are somewhat inflexible. An example of this is that our daughter's reception began at 6, so they opened the gates to vendors and deliveries at 3:30 with NO exceptions. I had a few embellishments that I wanted for the reception but since our daughter's wedding was at 3, I was unable to do them myself and had to trust that the person I hired to do them was doing them correctly. Don't let that stop you from seriously considering the site, though. The beauty of the mansion, grounds and pavilion makes it a unique and exquisite site. Their excellent staff makes things flow effortlessly so that you can relax and really enjoy the party. Our daughter felt like a princess on her wedding day.

Riverwood Mansion did an AMAZING job!! We got the Grande Celebration package for our reception only (we had the ceremony at our church). They were unbelievably helpful throughout the entire planning process. On the wedding day, everything ran more smoothly than I could have ever imagined. Our Riverwood liason, Katie, even followed me around during pictures carrying the back of my dress! That just illustrates how much they care for their brides. Their organization was outstanding- they all had headpieces and communicated perfectly with one another to keep everything on schedule. All of my guests raved about Riverwood- they said they had never seen anything like it, it was gorgeous and stunning, and the service was phenomenal. I agree 100% with all of those statements. I am beyond glad that we decided to have our reception at Riverwood. There is no better place in Nashville to have a wedding- I have been to MANY friends' weddings, and no other venue compares. The reception was beautifully orchestrated, very personal, and so easy to plan with Riverwood's guidance and help. If you want a stunningly beautiful, unique, romantic, Southern plantation for your venue, along with top-notch friendly service-- look no further than Riverwood. This place is incredible!

Riverwood was the perfect place for my husband and I to get married. We both have very stressful jobs and with Riverwood being all inclusive, it was a snap to plan the wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better place to get married and have our reception. While the prices may seem high, consider the fact that you are not having to find your own vendors and they are there the entire time of your event. Anytime my husband and I needed something, we just asked Riverwood and they were more than happy to help. If we could do it all over again, we would definitely pick Riverwood again.

Getting married at Riverwood Mansion was incredible! Kimberly was extremely helpful, and patient with my many questions and indecisiveness. Joyce, the ceremony director, did an amazing job as well. The vendors that Riverwood set me up with (Enchanted Florist, A Catered Affair) were perfect and I chose my band, officiant and photographer (all excellent as well) off of their recommended vendor list. I was planning my wedding from out of state and the ladies at Riverwood made my life so much easier. My only complaint is that although the women are extremely flexible, they do have guidelines and there are some things that you cannot change, such as how long your reception is. Their constraints are pretty reasonable, so it was generally very easy to work within them.

I want to thank the ladies at Riverwood for a phenomenal wedding that I never stop hearing compliments about. They were so professional, so helpful, and able to keep me relaxed at a very nerve-wracking time when it was raining on my wedding day. The backup plan for a rainy day was just as beautiful as the garden outside. I can't say enough about Katie for getting everything organized and Joyce for making sure everything flowed smoothly. I would recommend this venue to anyone in Tennessee or outside of TN! They work wih A Catered Affair for food and cake. Outstanding! The sirloin steak, potatoes layonnaise, and green beans were out of sight! And the cake was beautiful...tastey too! Thank you, Amy!!!

Riverwood Mansion was a dream come true. I would recommend anyone to get married there. The people who work there are absolutely amazing! They made our day one we will never forget. It was absoutley stunning at the mansion and the grounds are gorgeous. Joyce is amazing and made our day so easy and enjoyable. Getting married at the Riverwood Mansion the best decision we made!

I absolutely loved having my wedding at Riverwood Mansion! They knew what to do and when to do it! They were awesome at keeping a perfect schedule and making you feel like a star for a day! I would highly recommend Riverwood to everyone!

The employees at Riverwood Mansion were great to work with. They were all friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure that everything went smoothly and stress free. The setting was gorgeous. The vendors that they provide as part of the package deal were easy to work with and very professional. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Choosing Riverwood was the best decision we made for the entire wedding process. They planned everything! Even though a previous reviewer complained about going to appointments, I think that is crazy to think you wouldn't put a little leg work in yourself. They found the vendors, which to me is the hardest part, and even planned our meetings around my schedule. My mom, sister, and I live in three different states, and they were very accommodating to work with our schedules. They even did a conference call with us to lighten the little "workload" we had. Kimberly was GREAT! She was the planner assigned to our wedding and answered every question imaginable. Another aspect that I loved is how they already had a timeline/schedule for the entire day, which is one less thing to worry about. They had a plan for everything and were great about making sure that things went according to plan, which is perfect for a Type A person like myself. They are so experienced and have an answer for any question imaginable. Right up until a week before our wedding, I was calling with random questions and she never made me feel crazy for asking. The mansion itself, let me tell you, was just what I had always imagined. Its historic feel gives such character to the wedding that there is little to no need for additional decorations. Riverwood is the perfect place for the busy bride that wants a "WOW" wedding with little to worry about.

This vendor is great! They pretty much do everything for you and leave you with very little to worry about. And they are very professional and always have great ideas. My mom loved how comfortable they made her.

I was very pleased when it came time to find our wedding venue here in Nashville. We wanted something totally different from the weddings we had been to back in NY and NJ. As soon as I walked through the doors I knew this was the place for us to have it! I didnt have a want or a need the entire time I planned my wedding. I truly enjoyed working with the staff and the vendors! If i could I would totally do it all over again!

We got married at Riverwood recently and they made the wedding planning process so simple- and beautiful! Another reviewer complained about having to meet with vendors. Yes, we still had to contact our vendors and meet with them, but they did all the leg work to find the perfect vendors (we loved all of them), and isn't meeting with them an important part of making the wedding reflect you? We also upgraded the package (which did cost a bit more as another reviewer commented) but that was our choice and I'm sure that it would have been lovely without the upgrades as well. Although they might not be as flexible as their vendors (they are only open for appointments Tuesday-Thursday), it was great working with them and our meetings were very thorough. The are so detailed oriented! I loved it! Every minute for the wedding day was well planned (but it was flexible) and the staff (especially Dechari) helped everything run smoothly. At almost the the last minute, we had to move the ceremony to under the pavillion due to rain, and they took care of everything- what a relief! We are so happy with our choice!

Riverwood is an absolutely beautiful location, especially when the gardens are in bloom. We had a fairytale wedding in the garden adjacent to the mansion, and had our reception in the beautiful tented pavilion behind the mansion. We purchased the Grand Celebration package, which turned out to be the best decision in our planning, since we planned the wedding from a few hours away. The package included our ceremony musicians, rentals (incl. linens and china), dj, baker, catering, flowers, mansion decor (tons of white lights and candles throughout), ceremony director, wedding planners and staff on hand for the big day. It was fantastic service, and we truly didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day. The best part is the vendors they chose were vendors they've worked with for years, who are all true experts at what they do. Every vendor worked so well with us and were all able to communicate directly with the ladies at Riverwood for the final details. We loved the results of all the vendors work. Wedding Planners, Kimberly and Dechari, were very easy to get a hold of and answered all my questions within a business day...we communicated mostly through email. They are only open Tuesday through Thursday for appointments, since they have so many events on the weekends, but I was able to do most of the planning over email, so it wasn't an issue. I received so many compliments about our wedding and how absolutely beautiful it was. I'm so happy we chose the mansion, and only wish the day could've lasted longer!

It was amazing to work with Riverwood personnel! They were great with ideas and suggestions as well as making any accommodations we requested! The venue is amazingly beautiful as well! Our guests loved the Mansion, gardens and pavilion!

Riverwood Mansion is very good at what they do. They obviously cater to many weddings and have the process down to a T. However, they advertise their Grand Celebration package as the package for the busy bride with no time to plan the wedding. That was my situation. I was trying to plan a wedding from another state and wanted an all inclusive package. I thought this was it. But after booking and giving my non-refundable deposit, I found out that the only thing Riverwood did for me was book the vendors. I still had to contact all the vendors and set appointments, go to meetings, pay additional costs for upgrades (and everything I wanted was an upgrade), and plan the entire wedding myself. I probably could have picked the vendors myself and saved quite a bit of money. The mansion is beautiful and a lovely place to get married. But it ended up costing a lot more than the package price after they nickel and dime you for every little thing. The staff is very professional and good at what they do, but they are very strict about their schedule and how they do things, and are not very flexible even though its YOUR wedding. They will not even let you arrive a few minutes early so that the bride can get there before everyone else. Overall the experience was pretty good. The staff is good at making sure everything goes very smoothly, the grounds are beautiful, the back up plan for rain was by far the best we saw anywhere, and the pavilion for the reception is just lovely. The way they rushed us through the schedule was not fun. I wanted a little more time for photography and they wouldnt give it to me. I ended up with way less photos than I wanted. Things were so rushed I never got to talk to the officiant except while doing the vows, I never got to see the whole mansion, and I never saw the harp player (that was an expensive upgrade) that was supposed to be there playing. It could have been better, but it could have been worse.

Riverwood was wonderful they helped me plan the wedding and reception and I rented everything through them! They were always there to answer any of my crazy questions.

Riverwood was EXCELLENT! It was absolutely beautiful! We received so many compliments on the reception! The coordinator there makes sure everything is planned and makes sure there is no stress on your special day! I loved them!

Riverwood Mansion is a great venue to combine a ceremony & reception spot. The ladies at Riverwood are always on the spot and inform you of updates as the wedding date gets closer. They provide rentals for the chairs (outside ceremony & indoors for the reception)tables, and tablecloths. The day of the wedding they make sure everything runs smoothly and that if it doesn't they will not let the bride know of it. For instance, my wedding portrait frame broke and they were able to put it back together remarkably. When it was going to be transported into the vehicle after the reception the frame crumbled. I don't know if that was luck, but I thank them for not informing me of the broken frame, that'd be another I would worry about. They have a handful of people working the day of the wedding. We got the on site person to do the catering, which was good because they could just use the kitchen to get prepared. Another good thing of that place is that after the ceremony the bride and broom can have a dinner with just themselves before having to go downstairs and be on their feet for the rest of the reception!
