(once like a spark) photography

Leah, Brittany, Phillip and Anna were absolutely fantastic to work with in every aspect of planning and execution for our spring wedding. I always got prompt, friendly, helpful responses from Leah and Brittany to every question I emailed over - and there were many. They kept me informed of all kinds of deals I could take advantage of along the way, and everyone was dedicated to creating MY vision, not a preconceived photo package of their own. When we met Phillip and Anna on our wedding day, I was immediately relaxed by their sweet, natrual presence. They were calm, flexible, thoughtful, creative, and so much fun to have with us on our special day. My friends and family also commented to me how sweet they were to them and that was very noteworthy to me. I know our photos will be just as beautiful as our experience was, and I know we will cherish them for many years to come.

We loved working with OLAS. Philip and Anna were so great to work with and took amazing pictures! We were looking for a photography company that took more than just the "typical" photos and we were super impressed with the photos we received. The entire team was great to work with and so helpful. They really walk you through everything and gather a great deal of information in order to provide the best service that they can. We cannot say enough wonderful things about OLAS-loved everything about working with them!

The whole experience with OLAS was AHH-mazing. Seriously, Leah made all of the bookings/invoices/general questions as easy as could be. And on top of that, Lauren put together the cutest whimsy package possible. We LOVED how the box was tailored to how Alex proposed (seriously... what other company does this?!). And our photographers.. Phillip and Anna - clearly awesome! Our guests loved their energy (and Phillip\'s Faux-hawk) and we just know the pictures will be perfect. Best decision we made!!!

As if Leah's friendly, helpful demeanor weren't enough, Tony and I were totally sold the minute we met Ashley and Chris for our engagement session...It was scary to higher a team from a company that was based across the country, with photographers that were located 300 miles away, but Leah, Ashley and Chris made it a seem like we were right next door. From Leah's willingness to take calls at 9pm to her thoughtful detailing of our complicated timeline, she was there every step of the way. Ashley and Chris were so fun to work with and helped us to feel so at ease that we wanted them to stick around for more fun even after the shoots were over. After ten minutes together they felt like old friends! We haven't gotten our wedding proofs back yet (its only been a week) but I already know I will be happy with them! Thanks everyone! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

These guys are so awesome! They are helpful, responsive and well priced. Our wedding photos were absolutely stunning and the New England and Chicago photographers were fantastic, fun, easy to work with and very professional.

We have our photos and we love them. They are al perfect as that day was. My feelings were alittle uneasy at first not knowing how they came out. But Gram did it, i felt so beautiful that day and I fel that my husband and I look like the perfect couple in our photos. Thanks guys!!!

From the moment i saw pictures from Once like a spark i knew i wanted them as my photographers for my wedding. booked them right after the meeting we had and was so glad I did. The pictures were perfect and the communication throughout the months was great!

My husband and I were married in Monterey, California in August 2010. We were lucky to have Ashley and Chris as our engagement and wedding photographers. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and made our special day the best as it could possibly be. We were looking for a little more of a non-traditional feel, and that is exactly what we received. Their photos captured exactly what we were looking for. Most of the time we never even knew they were around taking photos during the ceremony and wedding, which was perfect and many guests commented on the same. My husband and I just love Ashley and Chris and have kept in touch with them. We would love for them to take more pictures of our family in the future. They are a married couple themselves, and are so adorable. You will just love them. They were very flexible, were open to any suggestions, and also had great ideas for fun and different photo shots. Once Like a Spark Photography has an absolutely amazing team of enthusiastic, energetic and fun folks. I love the way different people handle different aspects of the business. A-MAZ-ING!!! I love this company! The whole team (they split the business from the art) is friendly, funny, enthusiastic and passionate. We had our engagement session taken with them as a sort of trial run. The photos were amazing! They can make a grown man smile - and look like he means it! Photojournalism at its best. Truly captured the love and fun that me and my (now) husband enjoy together. They are very flexible and helpful. They worked with my budget, and were very responsive to any questions I had. AND they are VERY talented! We ended up getting a guest book made out of our Engagement photos and received endless compliments on how beautiful and unique it was. We loved every minute of working with Darcy (business), Graham (photographer) and sometimes Ashley (owner)! Cannot wait to see the photos from the wedding day!

My husband and I are thrilled with the all around experience from OLAS. From the initial phone calls and setting up the contract (a breeze with everything online and automated) to the planning calls/emails - ensuring that we had everything we wanted in our price range was really simple and pain free. And of course, most importantly, the photos came out great. Taking them throughout the day was a blast (we had Graham, in New England), and we had several people come up to us throughout the night and tell us that our photographer was awesome. We can't wait until the next excuse to use their services again (baby? family reunion?). I just hope that as they grow and expand, which they seem to be doing quite rapidly, they don't lose their personal touch or quality of service. We recommend them wholeheartedly - great company, great photographers!

(Once Like a Spark) is extremely talented!! I got my engagement and wedding photos with them and they were so gorgeous, I cried! I've never been more beautiful in my whole life. The photos are artistic and classic and so wonderful. I loved working with them and they will not disappoint you!! I had nothing to worry about on my wedding day because I knew the pictures would be awesome!!

We love Cali & Ashley!! We just got married in Athens, GA and my husband (woo hoo!) found Once Like a Spark online, and we loved their portfolio. Well, let me tell you that the pictures are just PART of the wonderful experience we had with them! They were professional, helpful, and so hard-working. Prior to the wedding, they arranged a meeting to discuss all the details, set expectations and make sure they understood what WE wanted. Then they blended right into our wedding, getting shots throughout the event, but never in the way. They were also clever! Coming up with picture ideas that we would have never thought of, to make our wedding special and unique to us. And best of all, they are sweet & kind. It was like hanging out with friends, and we are so thankful for them. I highly recommend Once Like a Spark for ANY life photos you want taken - they are simply great!!!

I found this talented photographer completely by chance online while researching a different photographer. I looked at their website, and I thought their work had some mad skills, plus their photos were bright and comfortable. I honestly didnÂ’t think I had a chance in hell of hiring them. I was on a tiny budget, and it was short notice. But they replied to my email and worked with my budget. Most photographers say that they are budget friendly, or that they will work with any budget - but I was less than a month away from the wedding and I had yet to find a budget friendly photographer. A few days before the wedding Ashley and I spoke over the phone to gather last minute information and get to know each other a bit. I loved speaking to her, and I loved her get-to-know-you questions! She was the one that suggested we arrive separately so they could capture that moment. They were flexible with any last minute changes (traffic and such) and I felt like they understood us, and our reasons for doing our wedding so privately. Ashley or Cali would always confirm by phone or email. Any changes or questions were always handled super professionally. The day of the wedding could not have gone better! It truly exceeded my expectations. We had such a great time! Cali was so sweet and made us feel so comfortable. My now husband is usually so reserved but he warmed up fast and started making jokes - it made me feel like our memories were in good hands. Cali was patient and reassuring. I had busted a blood vessel in my eye three days prior and it was still red, even after bathing it in Visine. I was so worried that my pictures would be ruined but she assured me photoshop could fix all that. She even asked me how comfortable I was with the camera being close up. It was all about us and our comfort level. I am so thankful that she took the time to get to know us! She even stayed out later than expected - in the cold no less! The pictures turned out better than I could have hoped for, and we could not be more pleased. We had so little light, and I had a red of all things! But they made it work. They made it beautiful... + the slide show is so sweet - and the song is absolutely perfect! (once like a spark) is simply fantastic!

My husband and I had a really great experience with the entire (once like a spark) team. Leah in the Southeast region was really wonderful to work with, keeping track of all of our schedules and on top of the communication. When we were trying to schedule our engagement session for a Saturday during the height of wedding season, she kept in touch with us throughout the entire process and made sure we knew that we weren't being lost in the shuffle. Sara, our photographer, was fantastic! She really made us both feel at ease and took the most amazing engagement and wedding pictures for us. She was professional, discreet, and never lost her cool even when some unexpected things happened during the wedding day. We've had so many of our friends comment on how beautiful the pictures are and how much they really capture the joy of the wedding. Finally, I recommend (olas) to other brides because the talented people behind it are the kinds of people you want on your side when you get married. They will chat with you about wedding planning, enthuse with you about the day you are crafting, and do their utmost to deliver exactly what you are looking for in terms of photography. After our wedding pictures came back, we realized that some family photos were missing because of a corrupted disk drive. I think Leah and Sara were more upset than we were! They were absolutely dedicated to correcting the situation, which just goes to show how much integrity the company has and how much pride they (rightfully) take in their work and in their relationship with their clients. My mantra when I was hiring wedding vendors was to only book people with whom I would be friends with anyhow, and that strategy worked out so well with (olas).

Overall Once Like a Spark was fantastic. There were TOO many people to have to work with though, which in return caused some miscommunications. Our photographers were based in SF area, Chris and Ashley were great. They were low-key and fit in beautifully and they took AMAZING photos. My husband and I worked with them for our engagement sessions as well as wedding and we adored them.

I found once like a spark online and was blown away by the beautiful photos on their website. I couldn't wait to see what wonders they could do with my own wedding and they did not disappoint! We had Graham photograph our wedding and it was almost as if he wasn't even there for most of the time, but he got such great shots of our family and friends while what I am assuming was in full on stealth-mode! There were some shots that I wish he could have gotten but I think they must just not have turned out (shots of my dress hanging before I put it on, my shoes shoes, etc). Working with Darcy was simply a pleasure I must say, of all the various vendors I had to be in touch with, she was always my favorite to do business with, I felt like I was communicating with one of my friends, she was always receptive to my ideas and just wonderful all around!
