We had an absolutely beautiful wedding at the City Club. Gina Manlove was a pleasure to work with both during the process and the day of the wedding. Everything went very smoothly and we had rave reviews from our guests about the venue and the food! I knew the food was good after our tasting, but to have almost every guest come up to either myself, the groom, or my parents and tell them how WONDERFUL it was, really makes me want to share just how good the chef is at the City Club. The bartenders and waitstaff were all very polite and there for your every need. There was never a long line at the bar and drinks were served up as everyone ordered them. We could not have asked for a better venue with amazing people to work with for our wedding.

My husband and I held our amazing reception at the Nashville City Club. We interviewed several sites and are so thankful we chose them! We consistently heard (and are still hearing!) from our guests that the food was exceptional and delicious and some even told us it was the best meal they ever had! It truly was wonderful. We worked with Gina Manlove and she could not have done a better job. We had a formal reception (black tie invited) that included a champagne welcome, cocktail hour with piano and hors d’oeuvres, a sit-down dinner with wine service, 3 dessert tables (including a candy buffet), full premium bar, and turned the library into a lounge. Additionally, we threw a surprise birthday party for my father during the ceremony that included a birthday cake, slide-show, and speech. We provided Gina with many items to be sat at each table and throughout the room and she did not miss a single detail throughout set-up and the entire evening – and we provided her with a lot of them! The views of Nashville were also amazing, which was an extra bonus for many of our guests since they were from out of town. My husband and I could not be more pleased with the food, service level, and attention-to- detail provided by the City Club!

We used the NCC for our rehearsal dinner. It was a large event, and I know it would also be great for a wedding! Gina was a pleasure to work with, and ensured everything ran smoothly. The venue is beautiful with very little decoration at night, because of the lights! Also, unlike many banquet meals, everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Excellent meals for everyone, including special diets. The staff was wonderful, great service.

Krista Chapman and Nashville City Club are amazing! Krista is very caring and informative, and helped with the whole process. The reception was beyond what I had imagined. My guests commented on NCC as having the best food (I suggest the Salmon) and service compared to any wedding they had attended. The service was very attentive, checked on us often and called us by name. I would highly recommend using this venue as I would use them again if I have another celebration.

Menu planning by Krista was fantastic. Krista also worked with the color scheme selected by the bride. The placement of the cakes and favors was excellent.Krista was very accessible either by phone or email. The suggestion to start the reception with a little down time from the trip from the church worked nicely. From start to finish the event was very well planned with great attention to details.

We used the Nashville City club for our rehearsal dinner and could not be happier with how everything turned out. Krista Chapman was amazing to work with during the planning process and actual event. The food, atmosphere, and service were top tier and exceeded our very high expectations!

Without a doubt, the Nashville City Club has one of the best views of the city of Nashville, which is why we chose it for our reception. However, the venue is a bit dated and needs a lot of "modernizing" with uplighting, draping, etc. and also can feel a bit crowded if your guest count is over 150. I really hate to leave a negative review, but my experience with the Nashville City Club was actually more like a nightmare. I had to ask to do a tasting, and after it, my proposal skyrocketed 67%, even though the event manager knew of our fixed budget. To get the costs back down, we had to make several sacrifices on our food and beverage, and go through numerous rounds of changes at the last minute that caused my fiance and I a LOT of stress during an already stressful time. The level of professionalism we received was far from stellar, and our point of contact often made us feel as though she couldn't care less about what we wanted. Several changes were made to the setup the night of the reception that we only discovered upon walking in, and several key items were forgotten that should not have been. The food was not nearly as good as it had been at the tasting, and had I the opportunity to do things over again, I would definitely choose another venue. We were so disappointed with the level of service we received, but thankfully, were able to negotiate where necessary and pull things together ourselves so that we could enjoy our wedding day. It saddens me that what could have been an easy process was made so difficult, and hopefully, my happy memories of the wedding day will overshadow the process of working with the City Club.

Being an event planner myself, I probably was much more detail focused that most - right down to the type of napkin fold and imported Greek wine. We received many, many compliments on the look and decor of our reception - everyone thought it was beautiful. We had about 75 people in the small room, but had a spectacular view of downtown and the river. Of course, being the bride, I was so caught up in the moment and the emotion of the day that some of the little details that didn't happen as I had hoped were not catastrophic and not worth even discussing with the staff. Krista was very accommodating and worked to fit the menu to our budget and still create a very elegant event. The only thing I can say is, like most event planners, Krista could use a few more event coordinators to help her as she is very busy. The chef was wonderful and prepared a Thanksgiving Wedding Feast for us (Nov. 14) that our family and friends will never forget. My cousin from San Francisco said it was truly the most beautiful reception she had ever seen. I created all the engraved menu cards, place cards, escort cards and favors myself and Krista placed them all artfully on the table. My only regret is that we didn't get there early enough to see the room and get photos of it before it was full of family and friends - and we didn't get any appetizers - but I was told they were very good. A perfect evening that we will always cherish. Thank you, Krista and staff!

The venue itself was beautiful and has the most beautiful view however working with the staff was more difficult that I would have liked. The events manager was changed half way through my planning and I was not informed for several months later when I emailed my original contact some questions. The night of my reception, the manager and assistant were not very available to handle problems or ask any questions. At the end of the night we were supposed to have a send off and the manager was supposed to arrange it and help get people downstairs, but when the time came there was no one around to ask about it. The manager had already left and her assistant was no where to be found. It was disappointing for sure. But they were very accommodating in working with our fixed budget and helped to get the best deal for what we had to work with. And the venue itself was impressive to say the least. I got so many compliments on how elegant and beautiful the venue was.

The setting provided by the Nashville City Club, with the stunning view of downtown Nashville, was just perfect. The wedding coordinator was pleasant to work with and I felt confident that they would pull off a lovely event without my having to "nitpick" every detail. I was not disappointed at all! As the bride, I didn't get to eat much, but I heard compliments for weeks from my guests about how great the food was. However, the staff at the City Club was kind enough to pack up a to-go box for my husband and I and it was waiting for us at the hotel! The only slight negative was that some of the guests felt as though they were being rushed out of the venue by the waitstaff at the end of the event, even though we were leaving well before our alotted time frame. My bridesmaids were told that if they came downstairs to see us off, they could not go back upstairs to get their bags and things. From a bride's perspective though, the evening was wonderful and I only wish it could have gone on forever!
