First Church Unity

Let me start off by saying that First Church Unity, being the fabulous church that it is, literally saved us a TON of money! I'm from a very small town in the north, so "church searching" as I started to call it became one of the hardest parts about getting married. I was FLOORED that it was going to cost me five thousand dollars to get married at some of the places in Nashville, and they weren't even going to let me write the music for my own wedding! It got so bad that literally I just started driving around Nashville, having someone write down every church that we saw, and I'd follow up with them later. Luckily, in doing that, I came across the First Church Unity.They were probably the 8th or 9th church I had met with. When I finally found them, I started to cry! I was so happy! First of all, the church is really pretty inside. My only complaint was the carpet and upholstry color on the pews but I got over it quickly! The grounds of the church are absolutely stunning. We took every single picture in the backyard. There's a beautiful stone stairway that was amazing for pictures. Also, they let us basically do whatever we wanted! We have common sense so we never thought of pushing that trust, but literally, they just went with whatever we wanted. You want to write the music for the ceremony? Go for it. You want to bring in your own pastor? Sounds good! I think they only have 3 rules or something like that, and they were totally doable. We got to tailor our wedding to our wants and needs, and we got to get married in a church like I had wanted, instead of outside which would have been miserable in the heat!Best of all? When we were told the price I almost passed out with joy. Yes, it's still expensive, but not NEARLY as expensive as some churches will charge you. It's a steal, and we couldn't have been luckier to have it. Thank you Michelle and now Megan for all your help! Everyone commented on how amazing the ceremony was, and we could have never had it that way with out your flexibility! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

First Church Unity and its staff(Angela/Michelle) helped us to have the day I dreamed of. Angela was so attentive to my vision and directed us to make it come true. I could not have asked for a better venue that emphasized all the love we wanted to share on that day. It was a beautiful experience that I would do over a million times with Angela and First Church Unity by my side. Thank you!!!!!!

We were married at First Church Unity on Saturday, July 3rd in the barn. It perfect!! Michelle and Wanda were great to work with. They said yes to everything we wanted to do. Our pictures were great the grounds looked wonderful. If you are looking for that special place - STOP and go to First ChurchUnity. First Church Unity made our wedding perfect!!!!! The wedding coordintor, Michelle, was very easy to work with and offered suggestions and ideas when we needed them. We had a very large wedding party, but she was able to handle us with compassion and professionalism. The officiant, Wanda, was a delight and chose the ideal sermon for our background and story. It was like she knew us all our lives. When we went into the rehearsal, every song on our music cd was in the wrong format (I found out I'm not the best at burning discs that day), but the sound guy used his own laptop to reformat everything. The fee for our ceremony was also extremely affordable.The entire planning process went very smooth and easy thanks to Michelle and Wanda. The church and grounds are absolutely beautiful and excellent for indoor or outdoor pictures. My husband and I are so grateful to have found First Church Unity for our wedding. It is a day that we will remember forever, and thanks to First Church Unity, our wedding was a dream come true. I HIGHLY recommend them to any couple-to-be!!!

We were married on March 20th,2010 at First Chruch Unity. Michelle is wonderful to work with and made everything run smooth. It was a small wedding so we didn't have a rehearsal, so we couldn't have done it without Michelle guiding us!The Church is so beautiful we didn't need flowers at the front and the grounds are large and beautiful as well. Cheri married us and the service was more than we could have ever asked for. Everyone that was there thought it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended! I think so too!

We had our ceremony at First Church Unity, and they were wonderful and so easy to work with. Michelle was awesome and really knew what she was doing. She did a great job of coordinating my huge wedding party. Also, they were great because they let us use our own caterer, planner, officiant, and do our own decorations. Plus, the outside is BEAUTIFUL for pictures! And a great cost
