Dr. Red Michel

Red is the sweetest man you will ever meet. I still get complimants and still get asked who our officant was. He made our wedding a breeze and would recommend him to anyone considering using him. He is truly an angel!

We booked Dr. Michel to marry us since we did not want to get married in a church, but still wanted a minister. We enjoyed his laid back, friendly style and he helped put us at ease throughout the short ceremony. He showed up early. I'm not sure if my husband's grandparents liked his more casual religious style, but everyone commented that he was funny, to the point and a good officiant. He is a bit silly and likes to get photos taken kissing the bride on the cheek!

We were looking for an officiant to marry us for our outdoor wedding, our venue had recommended Red. When we met with Red he was very humorous and joyful. Just who we wanted! We didnt want the uptight, serious ceremony which he delivered. We had many compliments about him after the wedding from our guests. My biggest complaints about him is that did not take the time to get to know us, we met with him for 30 mins prior to the wedding and that is it. Then the thing that got me the most is immediately after our ceremony and I mean literally as soon as everyone had left the ceremony site to go the reception he turns to me and my husband and says "so who do I need to collect my check from?" That took us both by surprise because A. He has done weddings at this place before and knows there are 3 planners to go ask and B. We had literally just said "I do" and he felt like OK my jobs done now wheres my money..However the ceremony was great...just now a professional officiant

We absolutely loved Dr. Red Michel -- as everyone says, he is very humorous and is an extremely warm soul. He has an incredible sense for how to make a ceremony relaxed yet meaningful, which was absolutely perfect for us.

As soon as we met with Dr. Red, we knew he would be the one to marry us. He brought such an energy to the ceremony. We wanted the ceremony to have personality. Dr. Red delivered. Everyone commented on how wonderful he was. He made it personal and a sense of joy! He truly loves what he does and it shows in every fiber of his being. He is a reflection of what a wedding officiant needs to be. His prices are great too. Some people that we researched charged outrageous prices, but not him. We DEFINITELY recommend him as an Officiant! Matter of a fact, one of my bridesmaids that is getting married later this summer, obtained his services for her wedding!

Red did a great job at our ceremony, his style was humorous, sincere, and laid back. He handled a very nervous groom and a guest who forgot to turn off their cell phone perfectly. My only issue was that he mispronounced my name throughout the ceremony.

We had heard good things about Dr. Michel from some of our other vendors, but when we finally met him, we knew he was "the one"!!! He has a wonderful sense of humor and his timing is perfect!! Anytime he sensed things were getting to "serious" he would say just the right thing to get a laugh out of us, and the guests!! He was absolutley wonderful and we would recommend him to anyone!!

We loved Red! He is such a wonderful minister. He brought so much energy to our ceremony and really seemed to enjoy being a part of our day!

Many people came up to us after our wedding and said that they thought Red made the ceremony one of the best they'd ever seen. He added in a lot of humor and personal anecdotes which made it a very personal ceremony. I only wish that we could have had more interaction with him leading up to the wedding, but he doesn't really do pre-marital counseling. If I could do it all over again, I would absolutely use Red again.

We had just moved to Nashville and did not belong to a church yet. We found Dr. Red Michel and felt comfortable with him conducting our ceremony. He's a very bubbly and happy man! The crowd loved him! He was also very flexible about our ceremony. We decided to not only take traditional vows, but to also write our own. He listened and made sure the rest of the ceremony fit around our requests.

I was a little nervous when Dr. Red told us he double booked on the day of our wedding, but he was there on time, etc. so that didn't turn out to be a problem. He did seem to rush a bit, however... and I am not sure if that was because of the double booking. Otherwise, he is very friendly and personable. All of my guests loved him! I was expecting him to be a bit more serious during the ceremony, however - he delivers a very light hearted, jovial ceremony, so if that is what you would like, then he is definately the man for you. If you want an officiant to take a more thoughtful approach, and try to really get to know you, then look elsewhere.

Wonderful. He did a great job. We could not have asked for anyone better to have married us.

Our officiant had a great sense of humor, was very personable, and was a wonderful addition to our ceremony. Would happily recommend him to anybody I knew.
