I have always felt a need to express my creativity whether it be through music or visual art. I spent years as a musician, but even before music I remember the satisfaction of capturing life's meaningful moments through the eye of a lens. My very first polaroid camera, circa 1974, sits proudly on top of a bookcase in my office, reminding me that anything of quality is worth keeping. Never could I have imagined then, that my early fascination with a simple polaroid would turn into a passionate career in capturing stories ! Not only am I able to capture these powerful moments with extreme clarity and definition, but I am able to take those images and add music and subtle effects to make it art!

 

I began Feria with one sole purpose: to use my talent and experience in the art of film and video to tell the stories people want to share. Every couple has a story. There are too few moments in life that we get a chance to share who we are and what our story means to us. I believe the union of a husband and wife should be such a time.

I have spent my entire professional career creating, producing and perfecting the art of media. Having spent over a decade in the music industry I know the in's and out's of what it means to be involved in the entire process of creating, planning, producing and delivering a project from start to finish. The care, nurturing and hard work that I put into creating a project is always reflected in the final results.

I'm married with a beautiful little girl and I love them both dearly. I'm definitely a gear head which drives my wife crazy and 70's love songs are a guilty pleasure of mine.

I discovered a couple years into college that I was a creative person. This eye-opening revelation led me to initially pursue a varied career in design—magazine art direction, branding and identity creation for cities and companies, and web design for entertainment, publishing and financial clients. Self-taught in most of my design skills and techniques, I kept pushing into new creative outlets.

 

5 years into my design career, I fell in love with still images while traipsing through Europe on an extended vacation. I didn't own a camera before the trip and had not clicked a shutter since a yearbook class in seventh grade—but, the images we came away with from that trip had me hooked. Each image contained a story behind it, and the challenge to tell a tale thru a series of captured moments was invigorating.

A few years later I am chasing these tales with a passion. Growing up all over the globe in my youth, I have been able to experience many cultures and interact with many people—and I know that everyone holds a story. With photography, I am continuing that experience. I have been blessed to shoot entertainers and athletes, creatives, business owners and other hardworkers, family members—and now through weddings—lovers.

Married and a father. Responsible dog-owner. All-around—probably a decent citizen. Friends' mothers love having me over 'cause I always ask for seconds. But, that's neither here nor there.
